Jim Edwards started Superior Steel & Ironworkers in 2006. Coming from a long line of ironworkers, Jim strongly believes in integrating technology with tradition. In his rare moments away from work, he can be found assisting with community service projects, pursuing his interest photography, or in his garden.

Jim has been estimating for seven years and has been a project manager since 2007. He became an ironworker in 1979 and has worked on just about everything—nuclear plants, bridges, high and mid-rise buildings, warehouses, commercial buildings, and specific industrial applications. His off-time includes competitive trap shooting, hunting, and fishing.

Dan Anderson, Fabrication Estimator and Project Manager

A PM since 2005, Dan estimates the steel supply and fabrication, writes proposals, procures steel, manages shop operations and detailing, and project manages steel supply for the field and install packaged jobs. He started in the trade in 1974 under a general contractor and quickly advanced in skill set and title. Dan loves skiing (and was even an instructor for 10 seasons), stream and river fishing, and spending time with his wife in Hawai’i.

Dan has been a Union Ironworker since 1994. Since completing his apprenticeship in 1996 he has been on many of the area’s largest jobs, including stadiums, local bridges and other largescale projects. His role encompasses estimating for future work, initiation and management of current work, and closing out completed jobs. Dan enjoys riding quads in the dunes with his two boys, movies, and camping. He has a passion for history and has been known to have a “green thumb.”

An ironworker since 1973, Rick is considered a leading expert in the post-tensioning industry, supplying and installing major PT projects throughout the Northwest, including the Lake Washington floating bridge. He is skilled in CAD and automated systems. In Rick’s spare time he enjoys the outdoors and exercising.

Chuck helps initiate jobs and coordinates between the office, field, and jobsite. He’s been a field ironworker for over 27 years. His interests include ATV’ing at the sand dunes, old car restoration, and camping.

Leon ensures that all fabrication meets the highest standard and is delivered to the customer in a timely manner. He’s been working in the construction industry since 1997. In his downtime he enjoys snowmobiling and fishing.
